The tile collections of Porcelanosa

Floor tiles

PORCELANOSA Group is a leading manufacturer of Ceramic floor tiles, renowned for its advanced production techniques and the quality and versatility of its designs. A market leader in setting new trends, its flooring collections clearly demonstrate that they are profoundly inspired by natural materials, while always retaining the intrinsic properties and features of ceramic.

These collections are more versatile and easy to install than continuous flooring and include series that reproduce the texture of cement, or are extremely ecological due to the extensive use of recycled materials.

Its wide range of ceramic stones reflects the great diversity found in our natural environment: granite, limestone, quartzite and basalt, with a particular emphasis on ceramic slates that closely reproduce the tonal richness and variety of this metamorphic rock. Collections also include a refined use of select marbles that imbue any setting with elegant distinction.

The reflections of light that shimmer on the surface of the Metallic collection are reminiscent of an industrial look reinterpreted in ceramic, while single colour tiles create original surfaces and textures with sober tones that work together in chromatic unity.

Porcelain tiles

Due to its remarkable resistance, porcelain is the natural choice of ceramic material for flooring in areas with a high level of pedestrian traffic, such as shopping centres, offices or public buildings. It also has great potential for use in indoor and outdoor areas in residential spaces.

Its resistance to temperature changes and aesthetic qualities make it highly suitable for covering buildings as part of a ventilated or bonded façade.

PORCELANOSA Group has a wide variety of designs and formats in its porcelain tile collections, with anti-slip versions for use as outdoor flooring. The STON-KER® and Urbatek® collections represent the evolution of the porcelain tile, designed to meet the most demanding technical standards.

STON-KER® Ceramic stone

Known as the PORCELANOSA ceramic stone, STON-KER® is a remarkably resistant material with a surface that is unaffected by even the most extreme conditions.
With STON-KER®, PORCELANOSA Group has evolved the ceramic production system to obtain a product that has a coloured design and is remarkably resistant, even exceeding the properties of porcelain tiles. It created this new material in response to the most demanding architectural requirements.

PAR-KER® Ceramic parquet

Ceramic parquet is currently a highly valued option when choosing a flooring material. PORCELANOSA Group includes a wide range of models in different finishes and formats in its catalogue. The natural properties of this essentially ceramic material give ceramic parquet by Porcelanosa several advantages over traditional wood parquet, while still retaining the warm and inviting appearance of wood.

Ceramic parquet is highly resistant to wear caused by continuous use, and is even suitable for areas with a high level of pedestrian traffic, such as restaurants and shopping centres.

Its surface finish is unaffected by the sun, with no need to apply any type of treatment or follow a special maintenance procedure. Its low porosity makes it the ideal material for wet zones such as bathrooms and kitchens. Furthermore, Porcelanosa manufactures versions with an anti-slip surface that are ideal for outdoor use, for example in terraces or poolside areas.

In addition to its resistance, durability and easy-to-clean properties, this naturally inspired ceramic material offers a wide range of decorative possibilities.

Anti-slip flooring

PORCELANOSA has developed Nanoker technology to manufacture non slip versions of all its ceramic flooring collections. This system makes it possible to create a nano-structured surface with a uniform texture on the surface of the tiles, very different from the rough texture found in conventional non slip floor tiles finishes.

The design of a nano-structured non slip surface was possible due to collaboration between PORCELANOSA Grupo and the ITC (Institute of Ceramic Technology), a world leader in the field of research into and innovation in ceramic. The result is an anti-slip surface with a smooth and agreeable texture that is long-lasting and requires little maintenance.

In contrast with other processes used to achieve non slip floor tiles, Nanoker technology retains the original colour tones of the tile and does not whiten its appearance like many other anti-slip finishes available in the market. This means that it can be perfectly combined with the base tile to create spaces with homogeneous finishes.

Nanoker technology also provides longer-lasting anti-slip properties because it does not rely on an emphasised relief on the tile surface, meaning that the original standards of safety can be retained for longer. Furthermore, these non-slip floor tiles require little maintenance: the system achieves results that are resistant to chemical agents and impacts, and it is also easy to clean thanks to the microscopic roughness of the surface.
