Delivery Information

 

Due to the UK's new relationship with the European Union (EU), extra costs now apply to shipping from Italy which will now impact the majority of Tile & Build orders.

To mitigate these costs and keep prices as low as possible for our customers, we now offer two transparent shipping options on all quotes provided to our customers.

Shipping Option A (Express) - 2-3 week lead time and will be subject to extra shipping charges.

Shipping Option B (Economy) - 4-6 week lead time with no extra charges. 

Full costings will be provided, for each option when you receive your order quote.

We are able to provide these options due to shipment volume, allowing us to divide shipping costs over larger volume orders, which in turn keeps the price low for our customers.

What time will you deliver?

Deliveries are made between 9am - 5.30pm.

 

What if I am not home to take delivery?

Small items: delivered by Parcel Force - you will be left a card and your order will be taken back to the local depot, simply call to rearrange delivery, you can also collect from your local depot if you prefer.

Large items: delivered by carrier- This will not happen on large items, as you will have agreed a prior delivery time & will need to sign for your order on delivery.

 

Do you deliver Saturdays?

Unfortunately, we do not offer Saturday deliveries.

 

How do I know when you will deliver?

Our couriers will call you to book in a delivery day (Mon - Fri) 

Large items: we use a carrier, they will contact you on the telephone number that you provide when placing your order, arranging a suitable time to deliver.

Smaller items: are sent by Royal Mail Parcel Force. Upon dispatch from our warehouse you will receive an automated email and your order will arrive 2 working days later.

 

Will the delivery driver carry goods into my home?

No, we only offer a kerb side delivery. The courier will wheel large items on pallets as close to the property as possible, or into a garage if there is access. Our couriers are not insured to enter your property. Small items will be delivered to your doorstep via Parcel Force.

 

What is kerbside delivery?

Our couriers will off load goods from their vehicle and using a pallet truck will wheel goods as close to your property as possible, the ground should be flat for health and safety reasons.

Pallet trucks will not go up kerbs or stairs and cannot operate on soft, uneven or gravel driveways.

The driver will not enter your home and will not carry goods. Drivers will only wheel pallets as far as a their pallet truck will allow them to.

Tile and Build use a carrier logistics company to deliver all pallets/large items. All pallet delivery companies offer 'kerbside only'. We don't have our own drivers and vehicles to deliver and bring goods into your home & can not offer any other kind of delivery service for palletised orders.

Why won't the postcode checker at the checkout estimate my delivery charge?

If this happens please call our sales team on 01539 729415 and we can quote delivery over the phone.

  

What do I do if goods arrive broken?

Sign the paperwork on delivery as "damaged". You then have 48 hours to claim for breakages. You will need to provide evidence by emailing over photos to our sales team who will then arrange replacements for you asap. Email us at sales@tileandbuild.com
